How does the fey foundling feat work with variant channeling?

Rules Questions

I wanted to play a variant channeling cleric for the effects but still wanted to benefit from the channel. Is the +2 per die halved to +1 or do you get half the channel then a static +2 per die?

I'm pretty sure its the second one. I have nothing to back that up. I am lazy.

I'm fairly sure it is the second choice as well. The feat is the source providing the 'extra' healing not the channeling itself. All it cares about is how many dice the channeling is providing. I would compare it to an ability that states the weapon dice damage is reduced by 50% when using the ability, that shouldn't reduce the extra damage from weapon group training or the like.

Reread the way half the channel works. I was playing this wrong for quite a while on my cleric who uses a variant channel, and realized I didn't have to roll a crapton of essentially d3s.

It reduces the numbers of D6s, so it works with Fey foundling just like any other healing.

FYI; variant channel
1st level (as written) 0d6 int(1/2)=0 (as I believe intended) 1d3
3rd level 1d6
7th level 2d6
11th level 3d6

with foundling
3rd 1d6+2
7th 2d6+4
11th 3d6+6
