Liberty's Edge

as said. have seen somewhere that you can pull your gems or gold out of pouch and use them for your spell. anyone know what this was and if pathfinder rule?

Grand Lodge

Some Spell Components are gems, or gold.

Most Spell Components cost nothing, and are considered to be available in your Spell Component Pouch.

Are you looking to replace expensive components?

I am not sure what you want.

Liberty's Edge

yes, there is a trait, feat or spell i saw that lets you replace, say diamond dust with gems that you have on you. I just cant find it again.

Shadow Lodge

There's a new Arcane Discovery in Champions of Purity called Yuelral’s Blessing that lets you substitute any material component with an equal value of gems. Useful for the odd costly material component that isn't gems - or to avoid situations where you stocked up on diamond dust for Stoneskin but suddenly realize you need a crushed black pearl to cast Circle of Death instead.

Liberty's Edge

Thanks, but not the one I saw. But may help me find it. it predates CoP.

You can always use the Arcane spell "Blood Money"....you cut yourself & your blood can replace material components....If you decide to take some STR dmg, you can up the gp worth.

Liberty's Edge

yes, but was really looking for this trait(?) think it might be since Weirdo mentioned a similar trait

Liberty's Edge

Anyone know of this, or back to trying to find it in feats this time. Its for my local old timer PFS players, who think that if you have gold than you shoudnt have to figure out the diamond dust carry or onyx, ect...

Shadow Lodge

Can't find it anywhere. You sure it wasn't a house rule or something from 3.5?

Liberty's Edge

maybe, course driven me crazier last couple days
