Cleric - Channel energy to affect undead and Metamagic - Enlarge spell

I've read the book about feats and it does not state if metamagic can or can't affect channel energy.

Here's what I wanted to do. I wanted increase the range of my channel energy to double its distance to hurt undead.

Just wondering if it can be done, and if so what are the things i'd sacrifice like two channels for one.... or is that up to the GM?

Metamagic feats can only effect spells (they can't even effect Spell-like abilities, only spells.). Channel Energy is not a spell, its a supernatural ability (Su).

The Holy Vindicator PrC allows you alternate shapes for your Channels.

Some 3PPs give feats to alter channels similar to metamagic feats (check the Divine Channeler base class and its associated goodies from Rite Publishing).

Keep an eye out for feats, often in Bestiaries, that enhance supernatural abilities. As far as I know, there aren't any that increase the radius of an emanation - which is what you'd need - but you never know your luck. If that doesn't work, consult with your GM about commissioning a magical item - or questing for some historical relic - that provides the range boost you want. If you intend to use this for healing, bear in mind that an increased radius for channeling can make Selective Channeling a tiny bit less useful, as more potential foes can fit into the area.

Channel Energy is a burst, not an emanation. (Emanations continue to fill the area for a duration, while bursts are instantaneous.)
