Lame Metal Mystery Oracle

Rules Questions

I'm unsure how fast my new Oracle will be moving in a fight. Lame reduces my base speed to 20. Scale mail reduces my speed (to 20 from 30 or to 15 from 20). Dance of Blades increases my base by 10 while I'm holding a metal weapon. So, am I moving 25 or 20 when I draw my longsword? (This will become irrelevant once I get my second revelation but for the first few levels it'll be important.)

This actually makes me wonder about the effects of medium armour in general. How much does it reduce the speed of faster characters? 40 base movement would reasonably be dropped to 30, but what about a 50 base movement?

There is a table on page 170 of the CRB listing the effect of armor and encumbrance on movement speed.

Ah, thanks.

It would seem that is Lame reduces base speed to 20, then Dance of Blades increases it by 10, you wind up with a net base speed of 30 - which the Scale Mail then reduces back to 20.

As I understand it, you calculate your "base move" with all race/class/feat modifiers first, and then medium or heavy armor* reduces your speed to 3/4 of that (rounded down).

*Barring a fighter's armor training. Or mithral Medium armor. You know, the usual exceptions.
