What can wisdom do for an inquisitor?

Advice

Hello, me again looking for advice as usual.

The thing in question this time is my character wisdom. I am looking through items I might want to get my hands on at some point in the game, and im having a hard time deciding what to "gear towards". We have a half-orc barbarian and he is basically a damage machine(when he hits, haha) and i feel any items that are geared for strength he will want. So what stats should i focus on for an inquisitor?

I read a few guides and things, and i think i have my character down pretty well, but im at a loss here.. What can wisdom help me with(spellcasting i know, but how, i guess)?

Thanks for the help, you guys are always good.

Have you read Inquisitor? Wisdom is everything for them.

I guess i do understand that point, thats why im asking about it.

I more want to understand what specifically it can do for me. Some of the abstract ways the books describe things, or specifically which lines are important in a sea of text can lead to misunderstandings in my mind. That is why i come here to ask, sorry to sound daft.

I will go read about it again and see if i can make more sense of it.

extra spell slots per day
higher save DCs (enemies less likely to resist spells)
bonus to initiative
bonus to monster-related knowledge rolls.
will saves
affects several relevant skills (sense motive, perception, survival, heal, maybe couple others)
Some of the archetypes apply it to other things too.

I think it's very good for an inquisitor, though obviously strength is good too.

edit: your handle makes me need a drink

Conversion inquisition rocks on inquisitors in PFS especially :)
WIS to bluff, diplomacy and intimidate is really strong there.

Thanks very much.

As i read the description out of the book again and try to digest it, what youre saying makes perfect sense.

So if i have a wisdom rank of 16(+3) i should be able to cast a level 3 spell on top of my 4 level 1s and 2 level 2s? is that correct? or am i reading the tables wrong?
Thanks again, awesome black and white way to see it.

The reason thats my handle is because i always misplace my drink, heh, so im always saying that sentence.

close, but you don't get the bonus third level spell until you can cast other third level spells (7th level). You do get an extra 1st and an extra 2nd per day though.

Conversion Inquisition and weapons finese and you have a character that only needs two good stats....can fight, socialize, cast spells, Identify creatures, gets good Initiative, and a decent AC..

I actually use conversion inquisition already, so that part is pretty awesome indeed.

I get an extra 1st and 2nd? so i get 5 and 3? or am i right about it being 4 and 2 times per day?

Scarab Sages

Dip into Cleric or another class that has channel energy, take Channeling Scourge, Channel Smite, and Guided Hand. For the cost of three feats, you can use wisdom as your attack stat, add your inquisitor levels to cleric levels for determining damage dice, and add the enhanced channel damage to a melee attack.

Be an infiltrator too and get it twice on bluff and diplomacy.

Grand Lodge

You can use wisdom for other things as well, depending on the archetype.

Heretic Inquisitor of Irori can have x2 wisdom to Stealth.

What are your stats and feats thus far?

When you dip into cleric, can you have three domains or only two?

Scarab Sages

Quote:
If the inquisitor has cleric levels, one of her two domain selections must be the same domain selected as an inquisitor. Levels of cleric and inquisitor stack for the purpose of determining domain powers and abilities, but not for bonus spells.

Only two, sorry.

Channel negative energy + bane to make the rogue eat his heart out!

If you pump Wis as an Inquisitor you can basically be a Will save GOD by 11th level.

Stalwart is basically evasion for Will (and Fort!) saves, which is a very cool ability IMO, because if I recall there are quite a few nasty effects that have Will/Fort saves for partial effects (that are still pretty bad).
