Underwater rocket bombs

I was just wondering how water would affect an alchemist's bomb attack when submerged.

I imagine he can't throw it that far, if at all, but what about if using Rocket Bomb?

Would it affect the splash in either case?

You can't throw anything under water.
Splash radous isn't affected.
But some elemental damages don't work.

Alchemist bombs are fire based and fire doesn't work underwater. In addition to that, thrown weapons don't work under water. The solution for a bomber alchemist is Explosive Missile discovery + any non-fire bomb discovery + underwater heavy crossbow (I say heavy because the ROF is exactly the same as a light crossbow when using Explosive Missile).

Once you get those you will rock underwater combat. Before you get those you will totally suck.

Also, despite their name, Rocket Bombs are still a thrown splash weapon.
