Hat of Disguise to gain bonuses like Parade Armor?

Rules Questions

Scarab Sages

So lets say you have a Hat of Disguise, which lets you alter youself like the Disguise Self spell. With that, you can change your appearance to where you can look like you are wearing some Parade Armor. With a standard set of Parade Armor, you get +2 Diplomacy/Intimidate (Circumstance) to the nation you have your armor set as.

Now if you use the Hat of Disguise to alter yourself to look like you have a set of Parade Armor, do you get the bonuses as if you were actually wearing a standard set of Parade Armor?

I don't see why not.

I'd allow a perception check from someone familiar with the uniform in question, to make sure you got the details right.

Thanks. And to further pry into this situation, would a Glamered enchanted armor be able to do the same thing?

I'd allow the glamoured armour to do the same thing, but strict RAW it can only look like "a normal set of clothing," not a different kind of armour.
