Catfolk Speed?

I'm about to start playing my first Catfolk, and I'm trying to figure out how the Sprinter racial trait interacts with other speed modifiers. Mainly, armour.

Does the Sprinter bonus get added before or after modifying the speed for armour? If before, how does armour affect the speed of a character with a speed over 30'?

Well your speed is still 30' you just get an extra 10' on charges, runs and withdraws.

So if you withdraw in light armor you get 70' of movement.

If you withdraw in heavy armor (Thus having speed 20') you get 50' of movement

All bonuses to speed (like barbarian Fast Movement and even the highest enhancement bonus) are added to the base speed before modifying the actual speed due to armor/encumbrance. Armor/encumbrance effects for various speeds are found in the Core Rulebook.

Effectively, catfolk have a speed of 20 ft in medium armor under most circumstances, but have an effective speed of 30 ft when charging, running, or withdrawing. A catfolk in medium armor and wearing boots of striding and springing would have a normal speed of 30 ft, but an effective speed of 35 ft when charging, etc. A catfolk barbarian in medium armor wearing boots of striding and springing would have a normal speed of 35 ft, but a speed of 40 ft when charging, etc.

@Expostfacto: The bonus is specifically to the catfolk's speed, not just an additional 10 ft of movement per round.

A-ha! The table for Armor and Encumbrance for Other Base Speeds fills in the bit I was missing - the armour table in the equipment chapter doesn't cover higher speeds, and I hadn't spotted this one. Thanks very much Dragonchess.

oh reading this i remember Midgard optional rule for speed:

Base Speed (all creatures) 10+Dex Score
you add your dex score for the rest of the movement.

Armor, burden, etc. make you to take the penalty in the speed too.

As a way to fix it, at my table, we get Base Speed 15+Dex Score

A barbarian human moves a lot at lvl 1
