Can we ask the developers to make Unarmed Strike a monk weapon?

Homebrew and House Rules

It would make sense right?

The monk can use unarmed strikes as part of flurry of blows anyway, which is the only benefit it would get from being a monk weapon, so that seems unnecessary unless I'm missing something?

If it were a monk weapon, then it could benefit from the monk weapon Adept arch-type

Considering the flavor of that archetype is that they want to make their weapons an extension of their body, it would be rather weird if the weapon was already part of their body :)

Silver Crusade

A monk's unarmed strike is considered both a manufactured weapon as well as a natural weapon.

I hope this helps

I think its in the monk weapon group.

it IS in the Monk Weapon Fighter Training Group, and nothing can save the Monk Weapon Adept archetype, unless you go Sohei and add that on top. Except that you can't.

So there's nothing short of homebrew that can make the Weapon Adept archetype useful.

Actually, even if it were a monk weapon, it still wouldn't be on the list of weapons use can use with Precise Strike.

Granted, I do feel the intention is to focus it on monk weapons and I could see the case being made to allow it with all monk weapons.
