Scroll Master and weapon focus.

I was wondering is the scroll blade could benefit from weapon focus short sword since it is considered a short sword when used.Thanks to anyone who could give me some insight.

Yes.

It calls it out as so in the description.

You can use any feat specific to a Short Sword, with the Scroll Blade.

A final question. As a wizard you don't have proficiency in short swords but scroll blade says that you are proficient in that weapon so could I take weapon focus without needing to take simple weapon proficiency? And would it be weapon focus short sword or scroll blade?

That is quite peculiar.

The Scrollmaster archetype does not grant additional proficiencies.

It would seem that the Scrollmaster need to pick up the Martial Proficiency feat to wield a Scroll Blade without penalty.

That seems to be a mistake, but as written, is so.
