My problem with the air school is that it has only a few spells I really would want to take, plus losing spells like grease and glitterdust is dissapointing. Plus lightning flash imo is mostly useless.
If I were to choose the void specialization though, I could choose my opposition school, which would be fire (then there would be minimal spell losses) and it also contains alot of useful spells and some pretty decent abilities.
