Looking to join or create Pathfinder group in Calgary, AB

Gamer Connection

Hi All!

Like the title states, I would like to create or join a Pathfinder group in Calgary, AB. I am more comfortable as a PC than as a GM, but I would be willing to take a crack at it if need be.

If anyone is available, especially on wednesdays though any time of the week is ok, let me know!

Also, I am into Pathfinder more for the roleplaying than the combat (though combat is awesome too ;)

Hi, I have been looking to get back into Pathfinder as well. I prefer Friday or Saturday nights but could do Wednesday nights depending on location. I prefer being a player as well but have GM'ed in the past. I have a lot of Golarion supplements but just the core rules at the moment.

Nice! :) I'm glad you got back to me so quickly. I have just the core rules as well. Do you live in the north or the south?

Northwest but as long as it is close to transit not a big problem going elsewhere in the city

I live in the NW too, so that should be easy enough.

I found us a GM! :) He's really good, and will be running the rise of the runelords campaign. He wants us to pay $18/month each (assuming after the end of the first month we like his GMing) but I think that's ok (for me anyways, it's about the same price as a movie but for all month and way better than a movie anyways). What do you think?

We could start with just the two of us and gather more people as we go along, or we could keep looking for another person or two before we start.

I also live in the NW. Having a young family, I could probably only play once per month. I have most of the hardcover books, and some APs (but never read Runelords).

Be glad to have you :) What days would work best for you?

It will vary. Every second week I am busy.

Sounds promising. What would he need the money for?

Peter, would you be free one day every other week consistently?

The GM wants the money for the pathfinder books he's buying for the campaign, and also to compensate his time, as he anticipated to have sessions once a week which he would have to prepare for. He says he will lower the price if we meet less than that though.

Sorry, it would be hard for me to play more than once per month. I would be too unreliable with my family commitments. I hope you get a good group.

Are you still looking for players?

Paying someone to Game Master is totally wrong and one should never play in such a campaign, ever!
