Are Loyalty Checks Rare?

Kingmaker

Hi guys, it seems I'm missing something.

My group has jacked up their taxes all the way, (with Loyalty getting a hit), but it hasn't seemed to hurt them a bit.

I don't even know if I can remember them having to roll a Loyalty Check.

How often do your players roll Loyalty Checks?

(Thanks in advance)

Loyalty checks are a big thing during wartime and managing armies. They keep your soldiers from ditching you.

They jacked up their taxes?
My group never ever raised the taxes. The countries economy is based on magic items...

Well, taxes can help in the early months before you can afford the magic item buildings ...

Yep. Once you can afford those buildings the taxes can probably go away, but until you have enough to build those you need money from somewhere, and unless you get really lucky with the kingdom events in the first couple of months the only BP-raising option is taxes.

Or if your players don't exploit the rules regarding the magic items economy...

I'm still not sure how that bypasses needing the BP to build the buildings that make those items in the first place.
