So I've got a guy whos been punching Babau Demons with his adamantine gauntlets. This led to a disagreement over the protective slime.
I ruled that because the gauntlet is still considered an unarmed attack, it triggers the damage to person clause of the slime, while the player argued that it triggered the melee weapon clause instead. Does anyone else have a take on this?

THe gauntlet it is not really considered an unarmed strike , for example a monk do not use a highger damage dice when using the gauntlets. If I recall correctly the devs said that should have been errated prior to ultimate equipment but it was not.
I personally would say the guntlets are like any other manufactured weapon.

Can't believe I forgot that errata, this is what I get from trying to do a rules post at work.
