Hello everyone!
I'm new to pathfinder and I am going to GM a game for the first time.
2 of my players want to play as Centaurs, which I'm okay with.
Both of them want to be able to ride a dragon or mounts as a Centaur.
Since they are a large, monstrous, quadruped race, can they do this?
How do I handle this?

I'd say it requires a kind of howdah arrangement that will allow the centaur to ride while standing. At that point you might think of the centaur as driving the animal (as he might a chariot) rather than riding it in the usual sense, so you could opt to use the rules for muscle-powered vehicles.

Well, for starters, they'd have to ride a huge dragon. Those aren't some lowly beasts you're talking about. This is going to be a cr 12 at least. And they would need Leadership to be able to recruit such a creature. Not to mention it's basically a horse riding another thing. Ridiculous. Whether by crunch or fluff, it doesn't make sense.

It seem to me that you don't really like the idea of centaurs riding other creatures.
If that is the case, you should talk to them about it, plain and simple. Maybe they are okay with it, and drops either being a centaur or a dragon rider. And maybe they surprise you, and have a great, believable idea, as to how the centaurs ride other creatures.

Thanks guys for your feedback. I am not experienced with anything besides pathfinder, but to make things easier I want to follow the rules that are presented in the book instead of house-rules. I am agreeing that it is a little ridiculous they want to ride a mount since they are ALREADY a mount but I told them it is possible if they have the leadership skill and they can convince a huge dragon. Alternatively they could use a vehicle of some sort (nice idea Damon Griffin! didn't think of that), but in time I told them we will work it out on either or and they agreed. Thanks again guys, problem solved! :)
