Ability Focus on a PC

Rules Questions

Scarab Sages

I know that Ability Focus (the Feat) is something that monsters can have, but I have player that has selected it. Is that feat legal in PFS or should I tell him to change the feat?

This probably ought to be in PFS general discussion.

Ability Focus, like all other Bestiary feats, is not a legal feat for a PC or their companion unless explicitly granted by another legal source.

In core rules, there's nothing stopping a PC from having a 'monster' feat.. in fact, considering how commonplace natural weapons are for PCs these days they probably all belong in the core rulebook.

For PFS though, unless its granted by another source the bestiary isn't sufficient access for you. It's one of their house rules.

PFS has it's own special "houserules".
