Infernal Sorcerer in RotR

Rise of the Runelords

Hey guys! I got a new player in the party! He has built a sorcerer (infernal) and I advised him not to pick that bloodline but he insisted! So I am guessing he wants to roleplay his bloodline in some way..Do you guys have any idea of how could I help him as a Gm to do so?? Which devil should he be connected to, so that he better fits in RotR and stuff like that^^

spoiler:
W are currently running the skinsaw murderers and the PCs are getting ready for a trip to Magnimar after Misgivings (which they think is not part of the original AP :P )

Not Asmodeus.

We had a Sorcerer who was the spawn of Asmodeus in Serpent's Skull and Asmodeus came to get him a while back.

Mammon or one of his subordinates would be a good choice, given the subject matter and that archduke's sphere of influence.

What about the Pit Fiend who is trapped in the Skull River Dam in HMM?

It would have to be a really really old relation and you'd have to talk him into having at lest one native Varisian ancestor (Shoanti or Varisian). You could mess with him by having dreams about being trapped and forced to move great weights and all that.

It's far enough in the future to be a worthwhile character arc but close enough to be attainable and not forgotten.

Other than this suggestion, you can do what I did for the infernal sorcerer in my second group--the infernal sorcerer's family made a bargain that will only be fulfilled when the sorcerer finds a way to restore the lost army of the Infernal Duke who granted the bloodline.

The Leng device, if properly calibrated, could do this in the same way Karzoug is planning

Liberty's Edge

That's a crazy long way in the future but I like it too.

There could be a two-step thing where we go with my scenario but he feels damned should he free the ancient ancestor and needs to do something with your suggestion as a path to redemption.

Thank you guys!!Really cool ideas!! Do you know if the Pit Fiend is considered as a devil??:S I made a quick search in my books and couldnt find anything relevant..

Pit Fiends are devils, yes.
