I have a player in one of my games and she has a necromancy focused sorceress. She uses Magic Jar quite often. When she does, I give her the physical stats of the creature with any items they have. It works well and it makes for quick movement between magic jar foe to magic jar foe.
She then just uses her mental stats, feats, DC, etc. One thing I would recommend is having a tongues type spell handy. She often jumps around to cause confusion but sometimes cannot speak the language of the creature she has magic jar into and it makes it harder for her to pretend to be that being. She has a great bluff, however, and that is able to smooth some of the bumps.

do you modify her DC's accordingly? I'm guessing she has some sort of charisma boosting gear on her actual person. That's a good call on the tongues spell, I wouldn't have thought of that, at least not until it was too late. What about spell casting if she's jumps into an animal or some other magical beast that can't speak or make the appropriate somatic gestures?

She does have to adjust her charisma and other abilities based on the magic jar being's belongings.
She has yet to jump into an animal, but she has caused havok among the giants by taking over both the frost giant jar and the fire giant king. The party had a cakewalk after catching group after group by surprise with the giant leaders in front and him giving confusing orders.
She is also a sorcerer so she has Eschew Materials. If you have time and you are a wizard, you will want to grab your spell components and possibly your headband as well.

I'm thinking that instead of wizard I would go sorcerer but take the Arcane bloodline, I love some of the powers it grants, than make my bonded item a ring with a gem fitting the description for magic jar set in it and then also crafting it up into a ring of charisma, then I need only pick up one item from my body instead of virtually everything, I'll see if maybe I can't talk my gm into letting me take Natural Spell...might need to go amulet instead so that all animals would be able to wear it

I've had my bonded item also be the receptacle for magic jar before.
Also, the rules aren't clear on what constitutes "you." They really aren't.
It is entirely reasonable to assume that you keep your mental stats (including boosters) when possessing another body.
Heck the spell even specifically states you keep your mental stats--as in, they don't change.
