Defender of Freedom,

Greeting from the Andoren Embassy in Magnimar! Your efforts to grow the esteem of Andoran and the Eagle Knights in the City of Monuments bear fruit, and we’re well on our way to establishing our own monument to the ideals that have driven us to this glorious place. We have made valuable allies among the bureaucracy running the city under Lord-Mayor Grobaras and the Golemworks, and even acquired a manor that I’ve now secured as my own home away from the embassy—a building whose name I’m keeping: Foxglove Manor! Even farther abroad, with your help, Andoran now stands in a good position with the people of Riddleport and Korvosa—well, at least those whose assistance and political connections we can use.

Despite our successes, the future is all but certain, friend. While our rivals in Cheliax are embroiled in their own petty squabbles—these things always follow wherever nobility and tyranny lead—others within the Pathfinder Society’s inner circles have made inroads to influencing Varisia’s future that we have been too preoccupied to notice. Those who hold allegiance to Lady Gloriana Morilla of Taldor and Trade Prince Aaqir al’Hakam of Qadira have not been idle, and already their influence in the region grows. Make sure we don’t lose our focus now that our most visible rival seems to have been removed from the field of battle by her own people.

It is also of vital importance that you, as Pathfinders, assist the organization in its increasing battle against the newly discovered cult of Lissala, who have sinister aims for the future of Varisia. As the society works to combat the cult’s efforts to return a sleeping runelord to the world, you can lead by setting an example of cooperation and tie the name of Andoran and the Eagle Knights to the ensuing victory over this fell evil.

My time apart from Absalom and Andoran has given me a new respect for Varisia and Magnimar, and I now see this region as another home. Our ideals are not restricted by political borders or geographical features, and my affinity for this land grows day by day. Ensure Varisia remains a fertile land from which freedom can blossom.

To tomorrow’s glories,
Major Colson Maldris

Blast, I could have considered that that confounded cult was concocting some cruel chicanery beyond tampering with out tapsestry! When last we were in Riddleport, my fellows and I went easy on that lot in the hopes that leaving more of them alive and able-bodied would make them a bigger threat to our shared foe, the dastardly Aspis Consortium. Now I can only hope that our misplaced pragmatism doesn't cost more innocent lives than even the Aspis could sell...

I don't get what any of that means but I'm sure my boss will tell me who to smash.

Glar:"I am pleased to work towards the goals of the free state! I will put my focus on Korvosa when I can but if I am not there I will work to spreading the word of freedom and democracy where I can. Back in Galt, things are a lot more messy and I am happy to serve a country that has its head, so to speak. We don't have Major Colson Madris in Galt, and that's why I left."

Riddywipple: "yeah! freedom! Legalize flayleaf!"

CAW! Fine, we got the permits written, the faction house's roof repaied, and the garden going.

NOW can we actually start freeing some slaves?

Ah, to be back home again!

Wandering the lands of Golarion is educational and uplifting, but my homeland is wonderful too.

Foxglove Manor? That's by Sandpoint, right? I heard stories of that place when I was little. Nastiness there. I hope it is all cleared out for you.

And, I haven't met up with Lissalans yet, but they may rue the day.

Ah yes I know what you mean. As much as I love to travel, I feel like my my wanderlust has been satisfied by the wild expanse of Varisia, and I beginning to feel the tug of home in Almas. I really miss the taste of Sealord Wine that they make in the taverns by the harbor, and there are far too few "temples" of Cayden Cailien in this far off land. It's disgraceful.

However, I have grown to love the rough and tumble of cities like Riddleport, and more than once I've taught a mugger not to underestimate this halfing with the knife to the liver! Ha!

It will always be a priority for me to guard Andoran and it's liberty, in any land, so don't you worry Major. I do feel like Cheliax has a far greater hold on Varisia than you are letting on, though. Early chelaxian settlers seem to have made a firm root here, and we almost lost the runcarved key to some posh chelaxian noble!

As far as the followers of Lissala go, these stupid cultist don't have any idea who they're dealing with, and with the the spirit of Andoran on our side, stifling their efforts has proved all to easy.

Settling the lodge has been a great success, and I can drink to that.
Luck is on our side!

To my Friends of the Andoran faction in Magnimar and surrounding area,

I hope this envoy reaches you in good health. I am Sven Von Jeggare a fellow pathfinder born and raised in my beloved Korvosa. I wish to extend a dinner invitation to my fellow pathfinders. I have recently set up residence with-in the city of monuments to expand my private business ventures. What better way to start off my new home then with a dinner party? I have selected traditional Korvosian cuisine and of course because of your heritage I have selected some very fine wines of Andoran craft. After dinner I wish to indulge you with a Cheliaxian Pepper whisky that has been a family favorite for ages.
I wish to extend my greetings and truly get to know each one of my fellow pathfinders here in Magnimar. I know we do come from different factions however I wish for us to look at what we have in common. The love of adventure. The thrill of discovery and the simplicity of a good home cooked meal and fellowship with fellow pathfinders.

Thank you for your time, Very Respectfully,

Sven Von Jeggare of the Noble house of Jeggare,
Noble of Korvosa, Defender of Varisia,
Servant of Cheliax faction, may the House of Thrune continue to rule with wisdom and honor.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

Eyes the dinner invitation, and starts passing out antitoxins

T'is a shame they keep you from getting drunk, but it beats waking up poisoned.

Silver Crusade

"Oh, my dear Sven!" the tattooed beauty smiles at the Korvosan magnate, after having very gratefully taken the antitoxin from the Caydenite tengu.

"Tell me, have you heard from dear Zarta, recently? Oh, I am so sorry. The Paracountess Dralneen. I am not used to such formality of which the Chelaxians are so fond. I just miss her, not having seen her in some while. Would there be some chance she could be in attendance as well?"

"I have to admit, however, though it pains me, that I am not much of a drinker. I have no palate to judge wines from Andoran, that land of liberty. I am but a simple girl from here in Varisia, and not one of the cities that have grown up here in the past few centuries. If you can deign to deal with a bumpkin such as I, I would be most honored to attend. Perhaps I have something in my caravan that could add to the festivities. If there is anything I can do to help, please, just let me know."

Yours in Magick,
Dame Sheliantha,
late of Absalom

Nesod quickly pocketys a invitation and one-maybe two-antitoxins. "So...There are three...no...four groups-including ours-trying to control Varisia? And only one of them is shootable? !@#$ COME ON!!!"

i just hope we get the chance to shut down more slaver gangs
