Like the topic says, I'll be running a solo Jade Regent soon. My player is a snow elf Water Elementalist wizard 2. To balance things out a bit she has a Soulbound Doll companion and a pet dire wolf. She chose to be Shalelu's sister.
I made a random encounter chart with an average CR of 3 (2.4 before rounding): 1 CR 1, 4 CR 2s, 3 CR 3s and a single CR 4 encounter.
Does anyonehave any tips as to how I should modify the adventure to be more accomadating to a solo player but still remain challenging?

Heres the chart if anyone wants to review it.
d8: 1-2 nothing; 3-4 Event; 5-6 Creature; 7-8 Hazard
EVENTS
d8: 1 Witch Fires bobbing eerily ahead. 2-3 Stalked by a pale skinned humanoid that vanishes when seen. 4 Creepy noise nearby. 5 Dragon flying overhead (this only happens once). 6 A hunter (human ranger 3) wanders across the player. 7 Player stumbles across the hut of a mad hermit (adept 3, only once). 8 A badly mangled animal corpse.
HAZARDS
d6 1-2 quicksand. 3-4 camouflaged 10' pit with ladder. 5-6 10' brown mold patch.
CREATURES
d20 1-6: 3 goblins. 7-8: giant leech. 9: 2 lizardfolk. 10: 3 goblins+1 goblin dog. 11-14: 3 stirges. 15: Rotwing (very young black dragon, only once). 16-17: crocodile. 18-19: the Soggy River Monster (only once). 20: Young Manticore currently eating a goblin, not interested in the PC. On subsequent encounters its wandering its territory and attempts to scare away the PC before attacking. It flees if reduced to less than 15 HP. After this it stealthily tracks the PC until she leaves the swamp, waiting for a chance to attack again. If slain. treat this role as no encounter.
Anything marked only once counts as no encounter on subsequent roles.

Good luck man! What I would consider is utilizing the Mythic Playtest, and converting to the actual Mythic Rules when the book comes out. The other option is to use the Wounds/Vigor rules from the Advanced Players Guide optional rules set to give the character a little cushion, especially at lower levels.
I would really make the NPCs of the caravan take an active role with the PC, just to give a little help as well, especially since the PC is a caster and will likely be in trouble once she exhausts her spells.

I think it would simply be much easier for the solo character to ally with the NPCs and run the adventure path with the CR adjusted (or not, if you just want to swap out NPCs for a four member party). If you do want to run it solo, maybe just give the option to travel with one or two NPCs at a time. There are a lot to choose from in Jade Regent, even beyond the major four (Sandru, Koya, Ameiko and Shalelu) In my play by post game, I gave the party the option to take

My PC is trying to get more players while I work on prepping the adventure: adjusting monsters, fine tuning the random encounters (I found the official random encounters so I'm going to use those with some slight modifications) and so forth. I hadn't thought of
I'm now expecting a total party of 2, 3 tops, so she will definately be joining them on assaulting the castle. As for
