Not worth it.
If you're going EK, do it as a wizard to actually get 9th level spells and a much MUCH broader spell list.
You also forgot Improved Spell Recall, which is an amazing ability.
Yeah, I did forget that. The point, though, isn't so much working out a powerful EK...it was just looking at an option for straight Magus. I should have mentioned that. I'm big Magus fan. :)

Magus 20 works pretty well if you're a Magus fan. Stealing the inquisitor's thunder by ad hoc applying Bane [insert enemy type you're fighting here] to your weapon is pretty nice.
Don't get me wrong, I love Magus 20. Just looking at the EK as a possible alternative...I have a Magus I keep hoping to play, and I'm 90+% certain he'll go straight Magus. :)

EK is a possible alternative, but it's not a good one for Magus. You lose progression in your Arcana Pool, Improved Spell Recall, high level arcanas, and 1 caster level for a slightly higher BAB and Spell Critical. Spell Critical would be kinda awesome for the standard 18-20 x2 keen weapon Magus, but then you'll be getting it at 20 or 18th if you go into EK asap so its kinda late to the party.
