Feat for Positive and Negative Channeling?

Rules Questions

Is there a feat where a cleric of an evil deity can channel positive energy in order to heal and/or give her allies a profane bonus with variant channeling? Or are they limited to just channeling negative energy against the PCs?

Hope this helps:

From UM:

Versatile Channeler
You can choose to channel positive and negative energy.
Prerequisites: Channel energy class feature, necromancer or neutrally aligned cleric (see below).
Benefit: You may make a choice whenever you use your channel energy class feature.
If you normally channel positive energy, you may choose to channel negative energy as if your effective cleric level were 2 levels lower than normal.
If you normally channel negative energy, you may choose to channel positive energy as if your effective cleric level were 2 levels lower than normal.
Having this feat means you qualify for feats and abilities that have “channel positive energy” or “channel negative energy” as a prerequisite (for example, you qualify for the Command Undead feat and the Turn Undead feat).
Note: This feat only applies to necromancers, neutral clerics who worship neutral deities, or neutral clerics who do not worship a deity—characters who have the channel energy class ability and have to make a choice to channel positive or negative energy at 1st level. Clerics whose alignment or deity makes this choice for them cannot select this feat.

That is perfect. Wonderful. Amazing. Awesome. Thank you very, very, very much!!!

Sorry couldn't find bonuses on variant channel.

Shadow Lodge

No problem!

That's okay, I think I get the gist of it and I can look up the rest in UM myself

No, not for evil, but Necromancers or Neutral Clerics of no deities, Clerics of Neutral Deities (Like Phasmara)can take a feat to use both sides of Negative and Positive. It is called Versatile Channeler, in Ultimate Magic. Your secondary such as negative channeling when you are primarily a positive channeler is not as good.(Effect is as your cleric level -2) No use taking it before 3rd level, in other words.

(Wow.. slow typer here!!)

Copy / paste rules! : )

I think I'm going to house rule that it can be used by any cleric but only for very specific means, for both the PCs and my enemies as a DM.

In this case, the Gnoll Cleric will be able to channel positive energy from Lamashtu in order to heal or give a profane bonus to fellow Gnolls or Flinds only.

I think that makes sense that while Lamashtu would mostly provide negative energy, she would allow positive, healing energy to flow from her clerics into her followers.

I have _lots_ of house rules. Nice thing about them is you can create as many as you want, as long as the players don't mind.

Example of house rules I used tonight in a game-

Cure wounds spells can be cast in the normal 'immediate' way, or slow ritualist way. If cast as a ritual, it takes 1 round per HP healed, but it will heal up to the maximum HP of the spell in question. Not good in combat, but usually pretty awesome afterwards, if you are not in a hurry.

Next house rule, if it is a class skill, you have _just_ enough knowledge in it to be able to use it unskilled, even if it requires skill to use it.

They work for me, but I don't expect them to work for another DM.

I like that cure spell one. That way they don't have to waste high level cures or lots or low level cures just to heal up after a fight.
