Character Build advice

Advice

I'm working on a character, starting at first level, that is to become a Holy Vindicator. I'm basing the character off of the code and mentality of a Warhammer 40k Space Marine Ultramarines Chapter. His faith is in the Emperor, I haven't determined if I'm going to use one of Pathfinder's dieties or make the Emperor his own diety, and to die in duty of the Emperor is an honorable death. He believes Chaos is the root of all evil thus making him lawful, but his actions may not always consider him to be good. I'm leaning towards Human, though a case could be made for Dwarf (in the game, they are xenophobic, hatred towards orcs and are extremely hard to kill). Either Dwarf or Human, his race is superior to others, but he his a protector of the weak, except in cases where the race has been shown to extents of great violence if they were not completely purged. He has limited magic set, and his militant background leads me to think a Crusader Cleric or multi-class cleric fighter. Any advice would be appreciated.

Aroden, is a good god.

Human is a good race. Chelaxian Human is better.

Inquisitor, or Crusader Cleric is good class.

I seriously looked at Inquisator, but Holy Vindicator pre-requisite is channel energy class feature. Is there an Iquisator archetype that offers channel energy?

Have you considered Divine Scion?

May be more fitting than Holy Vindicator.

I prefer not to use 3rd party material.

Grand Lodge

That's not third party.

It's from Pathfinder Campaign Setting: Inner Sea Magic.

That's Paizo Publishing there.

Divine scion is not 3rd party.

Also perhaps a monk/cleric multiclass with the dedication to lawful?

Paladin -> Hellknight?

Grand Lodge

No Space Marine can be called LG. LN at best.

He's LN by my reckoning, but needed help on how to get from point A (level 1) to point B (Holy Vindicator or Divine Psion; I haven't had a chance to look at it and my work cpu has a filter block on the link).

Crusader cleric1/ inquisitor 5/ holy vindicator x.

Paladin/ hell knight is probly more in line.

Why flip from one holy class to another? Besides, to meet the BAB +5, it would be Crusader Cleric 1 / Inquisator 7. At that it would be better to go straight Crusader Cleric 7 before prestiging. Also, Space Marines aren't that magical. With the exception of the Eldar or any Chaos variant, all races in Warhammer 40k are more Psionic. I have never been overly impressed with psionic classes, so I was making a minor religious class. Although, the STigmata class feature might be viewed as heretical in the eyes of the Adeptus Astartes.

Grand Lodge

A Scion is not Psion.

Not even related.

I misread. You are completely right. I did a bit of reading up on Aroden, isn't he a 'dead' god and his remaining worshipers gain no divine powers from him?
