Adding "Bladed" property to ranged weapon?

Rules Questions

I seem to remember this being an option in 3.5, but it might have just been a house rule in a group I was playing with. Does anybody else remember an option to add blades to a bow or crossbow in order to make it a melee weapon as well as a ranged weapon? Or was that something a group I was playing with made up?

TY again!

Bayonet.

Their was an Upgrade to add Blades to allow melee attacks with your bow in 3e. In 3.5e there was a Bladed bow that could be used as a Two-Bladed Sword that dealt damage one size smaller.

Bow... with a bayonet... I'm trying to picture it, but it's not working.

Bayonet on a crossbow...

Armor Spikes work too.

What ever you add to either, will be a separate weapon.

So, same deal.

3.5 Magic Item book had a specific magic item referred to as a "bladed crossbow" it worked like a heavy crossbow, had d8 slashing melee damage and was considered an exotic weapon for use.

I haven't seen anything similar carried over, so unless you are in a homebrew and feel like blowing the dust off some books and begging your GM, it doesn't exist.

There really is no need.

Wear a Gauntlet, or some Armor Spikes.

Cestus.

There was in one of the dragon magazines from piazo that added this to a weapon. But it has not been brought to Pathfinder.
