I lost a few players in my Roll20 campaign a while back and I'm looking for a few more to liven in up a bit.
We play on Tuesday nights, meeting on average between 7pm and 7:30pm and ending around midnight, all EST.
The characters are currently in the erutaki village of Iqaliat at a celebration before leaving. Make a character that will have a reason to join the caravan and travel away from the village.
The current party consists of two PCs, a vishkanya ninja/monk and a hobgoblin monk, both unarmed specialists. Skills are largely covered, so I'm looking for arcane and divine support, as well as a tank or support character.
I'm looking for people who can work in a group. The characters need to get along, although there is room for friction.
Modified Point-Buy: Place a free 18 in any one ability score, then distribute 15 points amongst the other five scores
Races: Core, APG, UM, UC, ARG.
Classes: Core, APG, UM, UC, ARG.
Hit Points: Max at 1st; After 1st: d6 = d4 + 2, d8 = d5 + 3, d10 = 1d6 + 4, d12 = 1d7 + 5
Starting Level: 8th
Traits: 3, 1 must serve to tie the character to the caravan (at this point in the game, it doesn't have to be a campaign specific trait, but it can be)
Alignment: Preferably non-evil, although a well-explained, team-player evil character MIGHT work
Starting Wealth: Standard for 8th level, 33,000 gp.
Backgrounds: I expect a well-written background that ties the character into the AP. The more effort that the background shows, generally the better. I like the format that I've seen used by others, the 10-minute background. In-character stories are good ways to portray your character and I frequently write ones for my own characters. Interesting character hooks for me to work off in the future is also a plus.
I'll keep the recruitment until Monday midnight, but if I don't get enough people, I'll keep it open longer.

Let me just take this opportunity to roll my health, shall I?
I'll post the full story shortly after.
Level 1: 12
Level 2: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (1) + 4 = 5
Level 3: 1d6 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
Level 4: 1d7 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Level 5: 1d7 + 5 ⇒ (6) + 5 = 11
Level 6: 1d7 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
Level 7: 1d7 + 5 ⇒ (4) + 5 = 9
Level 8: 1d7 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7
Stats:
Strength: 16
Dexterity: 12
Constitution: 20
Intelligence: 10
Wisdom: 11
Charisma: 12
(I want to point out that wonderous items thrown in here, namely a belt of physical might Con + 2 and Str + 2 along with the rage abilities in tow can give this character, whom is female, a constitution of 30, and a strength that's also very high. This is the most "Berserk" character I've concocted.)
Race: Human Fighter 2 Barbarian 6
Right! Spoilers.
1:) Looks-wise, Acacea is an average woman with above-average looks, but she's no princess. She's strongly built, and at, while young, was known for rarely ever getting ill. As an adult, she has short pristine white hair, and red eyes.
2:) Acacea doesn't know who her parents are, and was an orphan. At a young age, she was diagnosed with a mental disorder that caused her to go into fits of rage. Shortly after, she met Ameiko Kaijutsu, whom assisted her with controlling that kind of unparalleled fury by teaching her to use it in the form of retribution. This came directly after she killed a dog that had bitten her. This is the reason that Acacea glorifies Ameiko. (Trait 1)
3:) Old, current Acacea is easily remembered for beating most of the men in sand point at feats of strength, which embarrassed them. She one day heard of them jeering her for being unlady like. Despite all of her hardships as a child controlling her anger, she felt unliked. She left to travel the coasts for a time, getting into various amounts of trouble.
She has since, learned how to defend herself quite well, making great use of a Ranseur and Breastplate.
1:) Acacea wishes to protect sand point at any cost. She wants to be gain the love of everyone in the town, for the most part, and prove she can control herself. This is also her way of paying back Ameiko. She's recently heard of a band of heroes who could assist her in her hopes, whom she hopes to meet back in sand point upon her return.
1:) Acacea was once bested by a group of stone giants, whom had found her exploring mountains near the coast. After besting her, she explained how she was from sandpoint. This had occured shortly after the attack on sandpoint (Rise of the rune lords campaign) so they were bitter. Being so, they tortured her, for what she believed was no reason. When she heard them talk about attacking sandpoint, she awoke on the side of the coast covered in bruises and scratches, but safe. She hasn't mentioned this to anyone since.
1:) First and foremost, Acacea glorifies Ameiko for her assistance in her childhood and heroic stories. No one in the city does the respect more, not even her own potential party members. Any attempts to harm Ameiko will send Acacea into an immediate, unforgiving rage. They are extremely good friends.
1: Acacea is a merry-maker, and loves fun. One of her favorite things to do is witness what few friends she has enjoy themselves.
2:) Acacea does not respond to remarks made toward her friends, of any kind, and often throws punches on impulse if one of her allies gets in a confrontation with a random unarmed heckler.
3:) Acacea, while good, is not very good at controlling herself. She is an exceptionally nice person, but to those people that she finds in offense of her moral code, she attempts to beat them to death, or kill them, if required.
4:) Acacea prays frequently to Ragathiel in hopes to qualm her rage, and save it for only those that require the wrong end of "Divine Vengeance"

Quick Link to the Player's Guide
The PCs and their caravan are currently in the village of Iqaliat in the Crown of the World. Iqaliat is a small erutaki village located on the edge of the High Ice in the Crown. They've just slain a dragon harassing the village and have rooted out their corrupted elder shaman. Currently, the village is preparing a feast in their honor.
They have long ago left Sandpoint, which was the base for the first book of the AP. The second book moves up the Linnorm Kings capital of Kalsgard, while the third is taking them north over the Crown of the World.

We could merely play it off as her venturing from sand point to find them, couldn't we?

DM Bound Shade |

You could, but the caravan is located far enough to the north that it is now outside of the Inner Sea region.
@Ayed: Guns are their normal level of availability (in other words, not present much outside of Alkenstar). I'm fine with a gunslinger character, just realize that there won't be much in the way of firearms on enemies. I'd alter it some so that they'd occasionally show up, but it wouldn't be anywhere near often.
Aasimar is fine. The other two characters are a hobgoblin and a vishkanya. Nice variety already, and aasimar are more common than vishkanya in the part of the world the group is in.

Hrm, So you are wanting effectively 3 people? I wanted to make sure.. Because While I dont have an arcane person I had a character from a Jade Regent game that fell threw at level.. 5 and I would really like to play him.. He would mesh well with the Female Barbarian but for different reasons and is effectively another martial... A samurai.

1:)Zatoshi is a slightly scarred (facially) Hongul man with darker skin, jade green eyes and Mangy White/Black hair. He wears piece-mailed Eastern armor with no sign of fur or padding for colder temperature. He seems to have a stare that pierces your soul and a facial expression of an experienced warrior.
2:) Zatoshi a few years ago was traveling from Shokoro up to the Crown of the World and on the way back down he was assaulted by Bandits. He slayed them and took their bits to craft his new armor But it left him horribly wounded. His blood attracted animals.. large predators and he was not able to fight them off.. awaiting death he stood his ground only to see fletching to sprout from their backs and them fall. An Elf introduced herself as Shalelu. Since then he has always been one to help here and vice-versa, less as a debt and more as mutual persons that enjoy each others company.
1:) Zatoshi plans on traveling back to Shokoro to settle a long held dispute, regain his families merchant business and start a school devoted to his style of swordsmanship.. as well as find a partner in life so that his mother would be glad to know her line goes on.
1:) Zatoshi's Former Master was a half-orc who took him in knowing his rage could be thrown towards the wrong goal. He honed his skills but most importantly gave him a new, strong father figure to guide his anger towards a better cause. After a disagreement with a corrupt Damiyo the school was attacked as an example of the damiyo's influence and torched. His master stayed to protect the students and died in the school.. standing.. Shishio is his masters blade. Zatoshi plans to return to Shokoro and uphold his master's honor.

Both of the characters look good. I'll pass a link later on in the evening, around 6pm EST. We'll begin between 7pm - 7:30pm EST.
@Ayed: There's no listing for your gear. Please be sure to include it.
@Endoralis: There's a mention of your character's father, but I see nothing about his father's fate. Also, a character is already focused on Shalelu, so picking her may not be the smoothest choice for NPCs.
Also, late comment:
@Celeador: Excellent to see you commenting! If you've got time a some point later, I'd love to have you along!
