The Andoran book is quite descriptive as it covers all the city districts. Haven't ever seen a map of it though.
It sounds a bit like Washington D.C. with the Mall, Plinth & Domed temple, and also a counterpart of the Statue of Liberty sitting in the harbor.
The architecture is probably colonial America, although the city is a thousand or more years old and in a Mediterranean-type coastal setting so it could perhaps also be Italian-style with painted stucco and brick buildings with terracotta-tiled roofs.

The book, Andoran, Spirit of Liberty mentions that Azlanti style architecture is all the rage. And yeah, it sounds very like DC in Almas.
I don't know who made this website, and it sounds like they've really tweaked it for their own purposes, but there's a really good 'unofficial' map of Almas HERE near the bottom that might be of use until an official one comes out.
