Okay guys, idk why, but the more I look at it, the more it seems like Link from the Zelda series has become very Druidic?? I used to just imagine him as a Fighter or Bard, but since Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, I've just wanted to mesh those two Links into one. Horse or Roc (depending on campaign) for his Animal Companion while a Dire Wolf wildshape is only 4 levels away. Thoughts??
Doesn't he cease to be a wolf after a certain point? Correct me if wrong but in Twilight Princess being a dire wolf wasn't really an ability for him, but a curse - and touching the master sword removed the curse from him
sorry, his shield counts as metal armor :P
mildly reflavored hengeyokai ranger works best IMHO, it's a switch hitter build with minor magics, can use a horse, and I'd say for simple flavor go for a bard dip
Elf Ranger with Sword and Shield Combat Style and Horse Animal Companion. Spells require Ocarina as Divine Focus and in place of Verbal component.
