PFS, Summoner monster II and Hellhound

Rules Questions

I recently was looking at the d20pfsrd and noted under the summon monster II variant monsters a Hellhound was listed. The hellhound has a evil subtype.

I have a chaotic neutral summoner who worships asmodeous, is this legal for play?

The spell gains the (evil) descriptor when used to summon a hellhound, so you would have to refer to the rules for casting evil descriptor spells. In version 4.2 of the Guide, this was on page 34.

Then there's the issue of whether or not the custom summon list is allowed. You'd have to check the Additional Resources to see if material from Adventure Path issue #29 is legal.

(I only have very basic knowledge of PFS, since I don't play within that system, so forgive me for not answering more completely.)

This is actually covered on the stickied list of official clarifications in the PFS General Discussion forum.

Casting evil spells (such as Infernal Healing) is NOT an alignment infraction unless used for evil purposes

So casting spells with the evil descriptor is not a problem in and of itself in PFS.

That being said, the source for that particular summon being added to the list of available summons is Pathfinder Adventure Path #29: "Mother of Flies", so you need to check the Additional Resources page to see what is and is not allowed from that book (in this case, the customized summon lists ARE allowed), and you have to own either a hard copy or name-watermarked PDF of the book.

If you're discovering this through d20pfsrd.com, I'd guess that you don't own the book, so the answer is "not until you by the book", and once you do the answer is "yes, but only if you're a priest of Asmodeus", as the custom list that this comes from is only for Asmodeus' priests.
