Auspicious Mark+ Profession check

Rules Questions

Ok so last skulls&shackles session my PC ship pilot-barbarian didn't
pass sailor chceck on ship manuever, so he wanted to start rage, then use auspicious mark. I assume that RAW this is possible ( proffesion check is based on wisdom ) but is it intended feature or overlooked bug?

I would have to rule no. Because it works once per rage. Since the initial role wad made before the rage, it doesn't qualify for the 1d6 bonus

I agree with Rogar, but in the right situation then yes, depending on how your GM feels about it. Its the kind of thing that could be considered clever once, but not if you keep on pushing for it.

If you you allow it apply a penalty, such as ripping of the helm. Which could prove disasterous in the long run if no one has craft carpentry.

Did the OP not select the Raging Carpenter rage power?

Um as the OP is the DM, therefore God, it's inherent. Unfortunately it's the PC with the problem.
