Cosmopolitan feat question

Rules Questions

From the APG 156.

This feat says, in part, "choose two Intelligence-, Wisdom-, or Charisma-based skills. Those skills always count as class skills for you."

If those skills always count as class skills, does that mean I can always put ranks in those skills, if I multiclass?

Or, if I took this feat during a level of cleric, I can only put ranks in it when I level cleric up?

Scarab Sages

Any character is free to put ranks in any skill.

Class skills receive s +3 bonus as long as they have at lease one skill point invested.

Example: A wizard with 1 point in the perception skill would have a +1 bonus.

Using cosmopolitan to make perception a class skill, that same wizard would have a +4 bonus.

You simply choose two skills which are dependent on the INT/WIS/CHA ability, and mark them as "class skills".
This doesn't matter anymore after you put your first point in it, since it only gives you a one-time (+3).

This is kinda like 3x skill focus, if you pick things that weren't class skills (and spend 3 skill points on them). :)

Duh doy. What in the world was I thinking?

Thanks for the prompt replies.

I love using Cosmopolitan for NPCs. Basically 2x Skill Focus plus an additional pair of languages for the cost of one feat. Awesome deal.

Not so great for PCs what with tongues/comprehend languages being available for relatively low costs.

Scarab Sages

I love Cosmopolitan on wizards. Lots of skill points, lacking some very important class skills.
