How does Blood Reservoir of Physical Prowess work?

So let's say it has all 4 charges.
That's up to a +8 until the end of my next turn, should I use it.
So let's say I'm using it for dex.
My Dex is 20. That's a +5 bonus.
That would make my dex 28, to a sum of +9 bonus for the duration.

HOWEVER
If I am wearing armor that has a max dex bonus of +5, does it completely negate the item's affect?

Furthermore, is Cat's Grace treated the same way?
Or is there just a "magical" bonus that supersedes armor max dex for the duration of the spell (especially given the short duration of the Blood Reservoir)

"Max Dex Bonus" is just the maximal bonus to your Armor Class the armor will allow. Any other benefits of having a stellar dexterity apply as normal.

So, it won't help for my AC, but to hit and anything else, it will, correct?

Correct. And it might help for your AC too, just up to the maximum the armor permits.

I don't know if I can resurrect this thread, but do you know if the reservoir recharges? It doesn't say it does, but it also doesn't say it's destroyed once it's depleted.

It doesn't "recharge" in the normal sense.

You can reuse it over and over, but you'd have to recharge it by normal means (which is taking the 4 Constitution damage).

That being said, since burning the charges requires a Standard Action all the time, it's a pretty big pile of crap.

I got it on an archer, the idea was to use it during those rounds that I have to move into position for a full attack next round. I have next actually used it...
