Just for Kicks - Armored Leg Strikes

Advice

So I've understood the that general consensus on unarmed strikes is that they can be considered punches or kicks in-game.

What I'm wondering if there's a way there is weapon/armor similar to the gauntlet or brass knuckles but would allow the same benefit for kicking attacks.

Basically, is there an item that makes unarmed strikes with legs not provoke attacks of opportunity from their targets or do I need to house rule it?

I got this idea from Soul Calibur 3 the other day. Dat grieve edge.

Armor spikes on heavy armor?

There are probably some items that grant feats which you could use to get improved unarmed strike. A Deep red sphere ioun stone in a resonating wayfinder.

Otherwise, if you just want kicking flavor without actually requiring unarmed strikes, there's armor spikes or a blade boot.

Thanks, I totally forgot about the armor spike option. Just for curiosities sake, is there any way to simulate that for light or medium armor?

Also, that blade boot is a wonderful thing. Is it simple, martial, or exotic?

Chain shirt probably wouldn't do it, but Leather and Spiked Leather (studded leather with spikes for studs) are full-body suits last I checked, despite being light armor.

Armor spikes work fine with light or medium armor.

Do you mean simulate it being on your legs?

I don't know, it's all just fluff and sort of mechanically irrelevant.

You could use the variant Piecemeal Armor rules to show that Leather, Padded, Quilted cloth, leather Lamellar, Studded leather, and Wooden armor all have Leg Armor Pieces. (As do Chain, Hide, Kikko, Horn Lammelar, Steel Lamellar, Mountain pattern, and Scale for medium armors)

It's a Martial Light Melee Weapon, dealing (assuming medium) 1d4 x2 piercing damage. It's pretty terrible compared to armor spikes, unless you need to appear unarmed. (or style points)

Armored Kilt with Armor Spikes.

Well, that's more of a pelvic thrust.
