Aasimar Favored Class Option for Oracle + Life Mystery + Channel Positive Energy, does it work?

The Aasimar race has a favored class option for the oracle: "Add +1/2 to the oracle's level for the purposes of determining the effects of one revelation."

The life mystery has a revelation "Oracle Channel Positive Energy."

Will applying my favored class option to that revelation increase the effectiveness of the channel?

For example, at level 2 I'd channel 2d6 instead of having to wait until level 3 to channel 2d6, etc.

It works in Hero Lab, but I wanted to make sure this is legit. If it does work, can someone point me to a Paizo ruling or provide a clear reasoning on why it would work? It makes sense that it would, but I don't want to get ahead of myself.

There's not really much in the way of rulings needed.

Take the Channel Positive Energy Revelation.

Use the Favored Class Bonus to increase your effective level for it.

At level 5, you'd be considered 2.5 levels higher (so 7) for everything related to that revelation, including its DC and the amount healed (or inflicted) to living (or undead).

I'm about to play this build in Rise of the Runelords. The best part is qualifying for feats several levels earlier with it!
