Sorry, I've been sleeping all day. Just got on for a bit, but then have to get ready to go to work. Have to go out with Henry's mom tomorrow so she can take him out for his birthday, but we should be on later in the evening. Hope everyone is having a good week.

We may have bad weather headed our way and I already has a message from the power company that if the power goes out, it'll be out for 5-7 days. I'm hoping it doesn't but I'm just giving y'all a heads-up just in case. I'll keep my phone charged and let you know.

Yes, you might have 65-75 degrees all year, but you have no (real) public transit. In my opinion, all cities should be judge on how well they integrate public goods into the city infrastructure. :-p

Long island, hurricane Sandy last year, some places took months to get power back, there a reason LIPS was rated worst utility company in America.
I cannot even imagine LI this past year. I hear Fire Island got wrecked. We were very lucky in Philadelphia for the last two hurricanes: all sound, no fury.

I'm at work now, switched to overnight about a month ago.
I feel your pain. I've been on nights for 3 years now.
We both work nights. We try to keep as close to each others schedules as possible. We only have one vehicle, so we try to work the same nights so that we save on gas. We both work Wed-Sun, 11pm-7am, but I have to be at work by 10:30pm or they count me as late. So, I'm always on time and Henry is usually a few minutes early to work every night.
Overall it works out for the both of us. I've been working nights for almost 6 years now. The pay is better if you work overnight.
Yeah for me too, +5% after 7 and +10% after midnight, I do 7-5:45 Friday-Monday.
Yeah, plus we get that nifty weekend differential, which helps out by a few cents.
Well, I get the shift and weekend differential, henry gets paid a flat hourly wage.

There are many speakers on his level, I feel, but what made him truly remarkable was his long-mindedness and perseverance. If you were jailed for years, you probably would not be inviting those jailers to your inauguration. He did.

Well, I had tonight off, but Henry still had to go to work. He made it there safely, thank goodness, but the difficult part will be getting home in the morning. I just hope that someone shows up to relieve him. It's not like they pay him extra to come in when it's dangerous weather.
It's still a little icy in places, but henry made it back home safely. I can finally relax now.

Yup, we'll just see about those political types. I know the roof of the fort has some lovely canons fitted to it....*evil laugh* If they don't want to believe that this is not the place for a settlement, well I guess we'll just have to prove it to them.
