Fourth character for this party? (Nature-themed spellcaster / support)?

Advice

All,

In a party that consists of 1) a tanking fighter, 2) a control/conjuration wizard, and 3) a [rogue or ninja, not finalized], what would be a good fourth nature-themed caster support character?

Thematically, I am looking for a nature-based full caster. Something that feels culturally like a lightly- or non- armored woodland wanderer. I am looking for the character to fit a support role.

The ones that seem to fit to me are Druid & Witch, and I am leaning toward Druid. But I thought I might ask about other ideas. Oracle and Cleric seem a bit too ... martial and/or non-woodsy, what with the medium armor and all. But I just thought I would see if anyone has any other suggestion or some way to hit the same feel.

Thanks!

Well most woodsy people wear leather armor, which is traditionally medium armor. So don't rule out oracles.

Your party doesn't have a healer. A hedge witch or a life oracle would be a good fit.

I thought leather was light armor.

Oracle could be interesting, tho I am nit sure I find the life oracle to be very flavorliciois. But my taste in Oracles tends to be "bulk smash" (heavy melee) or else mega-zappy (even if its less efficient).

Are there any oracle archtypes that trade medium armor for anything interesting?

Thanks for the reply, and to anyone for subsequent replies.

lion shaman! give your fighter and rogue someone to flank with. Thematically could be fun.

Seems too fighty for the feel I want. What class is a Lion Shaman anyway?

We only use pathfinder and nothing third party.

Not third party??? Its in the APG http://www.d20pfsrd.com/classes/core-classes/druid/archetypes/paizo---druid -archetypes/lion-shaman

Shamans are druid archtypes!

Your party is lacking in the Charisma department (unless the 3rd guy is ninja). An Oracle would probably do wonders. The Wood or Nature mysteries would fit the nature theme perfectly. For example, Nature lets you get bonuses by attuning/observing nature while the Wood mystery lets you talk to wooden objects at later levels.

I personally like oracles better than druids for woodsy-type characters because druids can't wield bows and other weapons I would expect from someone who lives in the wilderness.

Thanks. I didnt recognize it, I have never looked too close at Druid ATs.

I've played a Wood Oracle. He was more melee then spellcaster. Yea he has a variety of buffing spells, but he will most likely be using them on himself.

I definitely don't want a melee-ish character. But I will look closer at some of the Oracle mysters and ATs, in addition to the Druid and Witch ones.

Thanks all!
