I'm playing in a gestalt game set in Golarion were the cults of Urgathoa and Rovagug have teamed up to break the biggest bad out of jail.
the players are each a child of the gods, I'm the daughter of Iomedea and a Cavelier/Bard the plan was to go into Battle Herald/Low Templar but the campain has proved either easy or really deadly and I worry that my mount will become too fragile without any prgression when I drop Cavelier.
I want to keep Battle Herald, and my feats are precious to me.
Any ideas?
I'm the only character that isn't thrilled to be a child of a god. So Paladin while good on paper isn't likely at the moment. I was thinking Inquisitor with the animal domain combined with boon companion.

If you were prepared to take Boon Companion, this may be a better choice instead. Preferably in conjunction with an Archetype that gives up Mount. (Gendarme does if I recall correctly, and would give you at least one extra feat.)
EDIT: ok, no it doesn't replace Mount, my bad on the Gendarme recommendation.

If you can, it would be even better if you talked to him about possibly trading the cavalier Mount class feature for that feat's mechanics.
Seriously, where in the cavalier class does it ever imply levels in cavalier are the real thing keeping your mount strong, rather than your own skill in raising it and training it?
Mount makes a lot more sense based on Ride or Handle Animal than it does Cavalier level >.< (In contrast to druids, who basically mystically bond with an animal giving it power based on their power.)
