Hi guys, quick rules question. Please help me out!
Can a rogue using a vanishing wayfinder sneak attack from invisibility? Can they full attack from invisibility?
Vanishing wayfinder:
In addition to the usual functions of a wayfinder (including the ability to create light), as a standard action the holder of a vanishing wayfinder can press a hidden catch to become invisible (as the spell invisibility) for as long as she concentrates, up to a maximum duration of 5 minutes per day. These minutes need not be consecutive, but each activation counts as a minimum use of 1 minute, even if the user becomes visible because of an attack action or some other event before that minute is up.
Concentration rules:
Concentration
The spell lasts as long as you concentrate on it. Concentrating to maintain a spell is a standard action that does not provoke attacks of opportunity. Anything that could break your concentration when casting a spell can also break your concentration while you're maintaining one, causing the spell to end. See concentration.
You can't cast a spell while concentrating on another one. Some spells last for a short time after you cease concentrating.
So, does the vanishing wayfinder require concentration (a standard action each round) to keep invisibility? I think yes. Then, one cannot attack when using the wayfinder. But a little later on, it says that a standard attack will break the invisibilty. But you lose the invisibility if you don't maintain it with a standard action.
My fundamental question: CAn a rogue sneak attack while using this item? Can they make a full attack action, the round after last concentrating, and attack from invisibility? What do you think?
