What Golarion year do the kingmaker plot start? There is a cool spreedsheet app for the Golarion calender that I would like to use. I just need the year.
Oleg's is not centered on the map. If the players follow the instructions of 36 miles ( 3 bed's) East and West that could be a issue. I plan on moving Olegs to the central hex in the same row. Any problems with that?

My players didn't get hung up on the wording of the charter. (Indeed, I think most of them forgot it after the first session, even though I had printed it out as a handout and left it out on the table each week.) They used the hex map from the Players' Guide as a guideline to what they should explore, and nicely filled it in. (They just last week killed the Stag Lord, finishing exploration of the upper half of the Green Belt in full anal retentive fashion before doing that.)
4711 AR (going purely on memory).

Kingmaker starts in Calistril of 4710, with the "bandit shakedown" of Oleg's scheduled for 1 Pharast.
Book one took my players until 24 Gozran to kill the Stag Lord and 12 Desnus to finish exploring their charter. Founding date of the kingdom was 26 Sarenith 4710 AR. Hope that gives you a little perspective.

I think I will move Oleg's over one hex to center it. I have at least one player in my large group that would point the error out multiple times. Besides I don't see what it would hurt. To be completely honest I'm a little retentive myself. Little errors like that would bug me.

Same here. Those maps were slightly incorrect, assuming Oleg would build "in" Brevoy territory.
Instead, he chose to cross the border, and build just "beyond" their grasp :)
I actually changed the wording of the charter to reflect the map. It is amazing how often a map where north =/= top can get confusing, though, even to me...

The compass rose on each map is indeed correct.
The top of the map is N-NE, not N.
No, he's saying that because the top of the map isn't north, it makes reading the map confusing.
For what it's worth, I deleted the compass roses from our emap.
And for convenience we are calling the top of the map North.
