Suggestions for a Sandpoint one-shot

Advice

Silver Crusade

I have a question for the Pathfinder hive-mind:

Can anyone suggest a good one-shot adventure that takes place (or could be set) in or around Sandpoint? Preferably for very low-level characters?

I am currently running Rise of the Runelords, and we just finished Burnt Offerings. I'd like to run a quick, one-session game before I start the next book, since, due to scheduling, there is going to be a three-week hiatus, and I don't want to start the Skinsaw Murders only to immediately have to pause.

I'm looking for something where I can show off more of Sandpoint and the people in it. The PCs are currently 4th level, but I could also give them pre-gens if I need to.

Any ideas? It needs to be finished in a single game session. I considered running "We Be Goblins", but I wanted to save that as a prelude to Jade Regent.

I think a few of the beginner box "bash demos" that are available for free here on the paizo site are set around Sandpoint?

They're super-small one-offs, and are easily adaptable, given their size and lack of complexity.

Scarab Sages

The Beginner Box is set in Sandpoint, and the sample adventure in there is in that area. If you don't have that, the Beginner Box GM Kit has another simple adventure set near Sandpoint. Not to mention the Beginner Box Bash Demos. Both of which are free.

Okay, these are "beginner", but you should be able to run them with minimal extra work. And they are intended for 1st level characters, but could be upgraded.

Scarab Sages

Ninja'd. (But I gave more details, plus links, so there. 8^)

1 person marked this as a favorite.

yeah?
well your avatar looks like someone gave dumbledore a purple nurple

I already ran the adventure that climaxes with a fight against

Spoiler:
a black dragon
as a prequel to Burnt Offerings, so that's out, but I haven't looked at any of the "bash demos". Are they dungeon crawls, or something else?

They are more like single-setting, small map one-offs.

They were designed really just to run short demos of the beginner box at events, but my GM for RotRL snuck a couple in on us during the first chapter that he ran and I didn't even know they weren't part of the AP until I came across them later while running the Beginner Box for some peeps.

I myself, are doing a homebrew thing on Chopper, if you read the background on sandpoint, and about the recent unpleasantness.
Having him as a servant for lamashtu again, sort of like a forbearance of things to come (skinsaw). using the stats for the enemy dullahan as his stats.

Scarab Sages

That reminds me, Wayfinder #7 has a Chopper's Isle side-quest adventure for 3rd-Level characters. Also free. 8^)

well, Op would still need to buff him up then, since you are around lvl 4-5 when you are finished whit chap 1. that's why I thought Cr 7 was a good number/challenge.

Scarab Sages

He said his PCs are 4th level, so it shouldn't take much adaptation.

Ah, my mistake, well, depends on if he wants it to be a memorable challenge or a short adventure then. =)

Silver Crusade

That is PERFECT. Thank you very much.
