Eyes are a pain. I've never gotten any of mine to look right either.
Other than that it looks good, certainly better than my first attempts. You will want to do something with the base, even just flocking it will make a big difference.
Another thing I do is staining. Get a small tin of wood stain/polyurethane and dip your figure in it, shake the excess off, and blot the figure gently with an old rag. It's a quick and easy way to finish a mini. Here's a link that explains it better.
