Order of the Warrior - Cavaliers Twist?

I have a question on how this order would work for cavaliers? Since it said cavaliers can also take the Order of the Warrior.

Way of the Samurai (Ex): This ability expends one daily use of the samurai's Resolve. Cavaliers don't get resolves, have Tactician instead. Does this mean using this ability would expend a daily use of the Cavaliers Tactician?

RAW I don't think that you could use Way of the Samurai without resolve. I would talk to your GM and see if you can work out a "resolve pool" that you can use only on Way of the Samurai or a homebrew feat that would give you limited access to the Samurai resolve ability.

I would say no. For one thing, regular non-archetype Cavaliers only get five daily uses of the Tactician ability at level 20 (levels 1,5,10,15,20). Samurai get TEN daily uses of resolve at level 20 (levels 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19) AND ways to regain uses throughout the day. Not only by RAW does the Order require the resolve ability, but even if it didn't, trading for Tactician would be an inferior choice, barring a homebrewed fix.

I would say no as well. It's not the same ability, and I'm trying to apply the logic found in this post, although it's a different scenario.

Yeah I figured... but going by RAW, it says "the following orders can be chosen by both samurai and cavaliers". I don't see a prereq that the order requires the resolve ability and/or prevents the cavalier from taking this order that is listed just below the earlier statement saying he could. o.O

Probably just an oversight that should be fixed by errata. Its always the little things that get missed, of the two "samurai orders" this is the only ability that calls for a samurai specific. Any kind of text saying "cavaliers taking this order can use this ability x times per y", would be nice as a fix.
