I know there have been others before, but there is a kickstarter for metal dice. I know the people running, and they do know their dice.

The metal is a zinc composite, with a thick layer of chrome on top for the color. We bashed up the first prototype we got for a while (a few hours of knocking multiple metal dice against each other) and the color didn't wear off, but we're going to continue to work with the company to make the coating as perfect as possible.
I have seen pewter dice before, and they mostly held up, but these are not.
I have a pair of d6s that I got from a long time ago before this outfit. I got them form a local store. They are about a 1/2" in size and gold in color. What ever metal they are made of, they have lasted for YEARS. I would hope this company knows how to make their dice and wouldn't make metal dice cheaply. This isn't to say that I am going to shell out the money for a set. I have plenty of normal dice.
