I am running a game where the PCs are in a tunnel and 10 feet above them are undead. If the undead decided to drop down through a hole in the roof, how does that work?
Falling damage says by jumping instead of falling they take non-lethal damage. Undead says they take no non-lethal damage.
Does this mean undead can jump down 10 feet at will?

Yep. Makes undead pretty scary to come pouring out of a hole in the ceiling and not care.
You can also use that to your advantage for planning an encounter. Create a situation where everyone in the area is getting hit by non-lethal damage (extreme heat or cold for example), but the undead just don't care.

Follow up question. The PCs in my campaign alerted ghouls above them by opening a trap door. They closed the door after hearing the ghouls. I know the beastary says ghouls have intelligence. Are they going to
1. immediately open the trap door and jump down
2. mull around a bit before opening the door
3. mull around indefinately never opening the trap door

Another quetsion is should the undead land prone?
Per the PRD:
"Creatures that take lethal damage from a fall land in a prone position."So no, if the undead take no damage, they take no lethal damage, and thus do not end up prone.
EDIT: It looks like this rule was added in PF because I can't find a 3.5 rule that determines whether you land prone or not. If anyone knows of one please let me know where it can be found.

Depends on what they are doing on the other side of the trap door and what sort of things they are trying to accomplish. They will certainly be aware of the PC's now, and they will respond just like a person with a similar level of intelligence would. If they think they spotted easy prey, they will probably give chase pretty quick. If the PC's looked like they would be tough to take down, they might elect to instead set up an ambush elsewhere or even block the trapdoor if they think it is necessary.
The ghouls probably won't just mull around like a bunch of zombies. They might talk about what to do for a bit, but there will be purpose to their actions.

Thats the conclusion I was drawing, but it doesn seem odd. They still have to succeed on the acrobatics check, right?
