Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

I'm curious if you were the gm of a game and a player asked if he could change the race in the Scion of humanity alternate racial feature to lets say elf would you allow it bearing in mind that the Blood of Angels book does say that other racial Aasimar are allowed even to the point of changing your size to suit?

If you take the Scion of Humanity trait, that makes you eligible for the Racial Heritage feat, which lets you choose basically any race to be descended from...
That sounds like what you are after.
So if it was me being the GM I would allow you to do that, but I wouldn't allow doing it without spending the feat.

Shadow Lodge

If I were the GM would allow "Scion of Elvenkind" without spending the feat. It's not RAW, but it's not unbalancing since in theory all the abilities with racial prerequisites are pretty well balanced and counting as an elf (or dwarf, or halfling) for those purposes should be no different from counting as a human.

Thanks for the replies. I'd like to clarify this hasn't happened although i would be tempted to do it myself i'd just like to hear some opinions on it. :)
