Ezren's Questions?

Ezren Level 1 premade has +2 for the crossbow. Why is that? Why other weapons like the dagger or the cane don't have it?

Erzen has 14 dex, and 10 str. He gets +2 to hit with ranged weapons. The melee weapons use STR to determine attack bonus, and the cane is masterwork.

Just to clarify what Nightskies said, ranged weapons like Ezren's crossbow add the dexterity modifier (+2 in Ezren's case) to attack rolls while melee ones add STR (+0 in Ezren's case). The cane is masterwork, which adds another +1 to hit.
