What adventures to run?

Pathfinder Society

I am thinking of running pathfinder society games for my group however, I am unsure what is required or recommended for the adventures. Is there an adventure that comes out every month that is specifically for pathfinder society play? Or can I just create my own adventures and work figure out how to make stuff for players to get faction credit?

If the answer is, yes you should be purchasing x every month, which one do I start with? Which do I go with after that? I mean pathfinder society play has been around for years so they must have older adventures I could use? Or do I just run the adventure of the month?

Please help to guide me in my pursuit of becoming a Pathfinder Society GM.

If you are going to be playing PFS for credit, then yes you need to run the printed adventures. Two come out every month, but you currently have a library of over 100 to pick from.

The best ones to start are a specific set called First Steps series, and they are actually FREE for anyone to download.

Here is the link to the first

Of course the first step should be to download and read the whole Guide To Organized play which should have all you need as a GM to get started.

SShould I randomly choose the adventures? Which season is best? Or are the seasons not worth getting?

You can run any scenario you want, agentJay, from the list of Pathfinder Society Scenarios as well as sanctioned Modules.

The Scenarios are divided up into Seasons in order to provide break points and organization to what otherwise would be a list of over 150 scenarios. When choosing scenarios, be sure that you're choosing scenarios that are designed for the level (Tier) your players are at.

If you want to follow the campaign as it developed and see the storylines as they played out, you'd want to start with Season 0 and work your way forward. Otherwise, choose whichever look best to you. There are some scenarios that are more or less part of a series.

For example, City of Strangers Part 1 and Part 2 are clearly designed to be played in order. There are also a number of scenarios set in the Blakros Museum (or having to do with the Blakros family) in Absalom that you don't have to play in order but that are more fun when you do.

It'll just take a while to learn about all of this. There are blurbs describing each scenario in the Paizo store that will help you decide which ones to run.
