Can a creature with a climb speed use climb to ignore natural difficult terrain?

Rules Questions

A naturally cut cut cavern is considered difficult Terrain. Can a creature with a climb speed use this ability to get around the usual movement penalties?

An example would be something like a morlock scurrying over and around stalagmites.
