Saw the trailer this morning and signed up for closed beta. Looks like hotness.

Hmm. Maybe.
While I can't link it right now, the trailer they released was truly awesome, featuring the 3 factions fighting for control of a towering structure from different sides, then facing off at the end. That said, everyone knows that gameplay and trailers almost never align.

Factions include the Daggerfall Covenant, Aldmeri Dominion, and Ebonheart Pact. An entire continent for PVP (Cyrodiil itself, the play area for Oblivion) and access to continents not seen since Arena.

Makes me wish they would make a movie (clip alone is better than any scene in the D&d movies). I cant see most of that stuff in the trailer making it into the game. So in the trailer its Nords, high elf and imperials? Any idea what the monsters are?
I hope they take some of the monsters from online and put them in future skyrim expansions. Same with a grappling hook. Would be great for scaling to the top of towers or mountains.
I have my doubts about crossing the monsters over. ESO is staged in the 2nd Era. Skyrim is in the 4th Era. Rebuilding the game to allow for the grappling hook would be challenging and costly, so I don't envision that happening.
I looked into this and have signed up for the Beta as well.
I like that the combat is based on finesse and skill, similar to the single player games and not the WoW model of: Target the MOB, faceroll, win.
Here's a good review of the Alpha though it is from back in October of 2012.
Signed up and waiting. I've played all the Elder Scroll games. Finding the time is going to be interesting... but it's an Elder Scrolls game. I can go without sleep :)
I'm extremely skeptical. I just don't see Elder Scrolls games translating into an MMO well. The two are generally about completely different things, but i would like to be pleasantly surprised.
