Do the 8th level Wizard 'Auras' all require a standard action to activate?

Rules Questions

I ask this question because some 8th level school abilities specify that activating them takes a standard action but auras never seem to mention it (like Aura of Prescoence for the Void Mage or the Enchanter's Aura of Despair).

So does activating an aura require a free, swift, move, standard or full round action and is there anywhere RAW that will specify this?

If it's not specified than the rule is that an ability requires a standard action to activate.

I have no problem with that being the case, but can you point me to where that rule is stated? We've had some heated debates on the subject around the the gaming table.

Typing this on my phone so I apologize for the poor quality of this response.
In the combat chapter in the "actions in combat" table supernatural abilities are listed under standard action. I'll post more when I get home if you still can't find it.
