One of our characters in the Rise of the Runelords campaign has decided to become an art collector. He recovered the painting "Throw Down in Swine Town" that was painted by Ando Salu that was hidden below Foxglove Manor. He is very interested in other works by that artist. Are there any others by Salu in other modules or supplements or are there other famous artists in Golarion? This looks like a great opportunity for adventure hooks in the future.

Extremely mild spoiler for Legacy of Fire concerning another named artist:
An artist named Vormeesa Hoon painted a 4-foot-by-6-foot landscape titled "Lost Kakishon," a masterpiece of exceptional realism and detail. The adventure doesn't delve into any details about Hoon herself, however.

There is the Cellini-like Ayavah of Magnimar, the sculptor of the statuettes and buckles depicting entwined succubi you find in several adventures.
One of my players' character is actually commissioning sculptures from Ayavah for his villa, after I had the artist feature prominently in a subplot involving an aristocratic elf attempting to shame one of the other party members with an art show showcasing her least honorable moments.
Boy, do I love the fluff on elven duels.

She's definitely had the biggest footprint between peoples' campaigns if one goes by the number of art objects players actually keep. ;)

Hey! My mild-mannered alchemist's murderous id-fueled alter ego wore that belt buckle proudly.

Hmmm... there was a little bit more about Andosalu in the book before I had to cut a sidebar about famous Magnimarians to make the words fit before I turned it over for development. Here it is, unedited and undeveloped (so there might be a few errors lurking in there, such as maybe some incorrect names—I think that the "Moon Phantoms" might be one such thing that changed...).
NINE FAMOUS MAGNIMARIANS
Magnimar has produced numerous famous heroes, renowned artists, and notorious villains during its relatively short lifespan to date. Listed below are ten of the most well-known, some of whom still live in the city.
1) Alcaydian Indros: Leader of the Korvosan adventuring band known as the Moon Phantoms, founder of Magnimar, and slayer of the Great Vydrarch.
2) Antholus Kaddren: Member of the Moon Phantoms, gave his life during the Battle of Charda when he turned Winterkiss’s monstrous minions back against her fleet.
3) Nyssalee Vanderale: Member of the Moon Phantoms, a silver-tongued woman whose charm played a significant role in securing Magnimar’s status as a significant trade port, and who defeated a Korvossan Prince in a public and infamous duel to help establish Magnimar’s independence from Korvosan influence.
4) Ordellia Whilwren: Member of the Moon Phantoms, cleric of Desna who helped forge peace with local Varisians during Magnimar’s first tumultuous years.
5) Aiten Aioldo Derexhi: Alcaydian Indros’s bodyguard, a man often called “the fifth phantom” for his bravery and support of the founding group’s heroics.
6) Cailyn and Romre Vanderale: Twin wizards and leaders of the Eyes of the Hawk, defeated the shriezyx uprising of 4623 AR.
7) Goren Andosalu: Infamous painter of masterpieces like “Andosalu’s Model,” “Midnight Sunrise,” and “Throwdown in Swynetown,” who went mad and burned several buildings around his studio in Keystone before fleeing the city—his rampage and assumed death have only made his paintings more valuable.
8) Vumeshki: Notorious alchemist and well-read eccentric poet who believed he’d discovered an alternate alchemical route to immortality that didn’t require the Sun Orchid Elixir; current whereabouts unknown.
9) Sir Aeryn Darvengian: Once the patriarch of the Darvengian aristocrats, his mass murder of his family and four Andoren dignitaries earned him a place in the Hells and local bedtime horror stories for life.

Just a thought... It would be cool to see some of these famous paitings, sculptures, and/or pieces of art show up in the background of the illustrations in future Paizo supplements. For instance in some noble's estate, hero's stronghold, or villain's lair. Just another way to make the campaign world that much more richer...
